Description:Job Title: Business Analyst ManagementJob Category: Marketing Product: (Not Product Specific) Date Posted: 08/04/2007 Job Code: 204978 Location: WA - Redmond Travel Required: The Global Marketing team of the Interactive Entertainment Business is looking for a Senior Manager of Business. Global Marketing provides the Business Group Marketing for the various business units within IEB, including Xbox console, accessories, MGS, GPP/3rd party games, Xbox and Games for Windows LIVE. In addition, Global Marketing provides all Marketing Communications for all of these initiatives, including creative, public relations, media, CRM and internet. This position will contribute to the Global Marketing senior leadership team by leading the efforts of planning and the rhythm of the business (ROB). The position will work and communicate across all functions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. This position will also play an important role as part of the GLOBAL MARKETING senior leadership team with regard to strategic focus and vision as well as overall decision making. The main ACCOUNTABILITIES for this position include: · Facilitating Global Marketing's success through strong partnership with the team's senior leadership; · Demonstrating the ability to influence across E&D as well as across Microsoft. · Assisting in the implementation of Global Marketing ROB processes for the organization · Deliver an integrated strategy and execution plan for marketing across the IEB · Develop the Business Management and Strategic Planning functions and people for future growth SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES Business Processes: - Drive alignment of the ROB process for GLOBAL MARKETING's senior leadership team and other appropriate IEB groups - Plan and coordinate senior leadership and other appropriate staff meetings - Manage the planning process (budget, strategy review, etc.) ensuring coordination between GLOBAL MARKETING and IEB/E&D. - Partner with the GLOBAL MARKETING senior leadership team and extended team to build and socialize business metrics and scorecards with key stakeholders - Drive engagement in strategy, budgeting, staffing, reviews or other integrated business processes - Identify new business processes or tools to improve productivity and efficiency Business Management: - Partner with GLOBAL MARKETING Corporate Vice President to continually improve various SAT survey and Poll results. - Partner with GLOBAL MARKETING CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT and senior leadership team to publish scorecard results and provide analysis of areas for improvement - Represent GLOBAL MARKETING CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT (when not available) in key internal meetings to assure consistency, awareness, integration and collaboration - Drive follow through on deliverables to support overall business planning calendars and commitments Communications: - Build a communications plan in conjunction with the General Manager of Marcom for the GLOBAL MARKETING CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT and the senior leadership team - Cross divisional with the key stakeholders in the IEB ad E&D - Cross company with key stakeholders - Participate / lead cross-team optimization projects (best practices, process improvements, staffing recommendations) - Drive development of team communication, presentations, and customer/partner briefings as needed - Staying connected frequently, daily if necessary, as a means to stay aligned and informed - Open & transparent communications especially on difficult topics/decisions - Collaboration and coordination on calendar, business, meeting priorities and deadlines - Minimize "administrative task" and low priority time by driving an agreed prioritization process - Owns any special or unique industry relationships as directed by the GLOBAL MARKETING CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT Other Accountabilities: - Takes on special projects as directed by the GLOBAL MARKETING CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT and senior leadership team. - Manages and/or participates in specific divisional initiatives on as-needed basis. RELATIONSHIPS · Reports to the CORPORATE VICE PRESIDENT of GLOBAL MARKETING · Participates as part of the GLOBAL MARKETING senior leadership team · Influences partners across GLOBAL MARKETING, the Interactive Entertainment Business and the Entertainment and Devices Division. QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working in a business management role with an executive and executive team a plus, but not required - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the entertainment industry is required - People management experience is also a requirement of this position - Demonstrated strong project management skills required - Excellent oral and written communication skills with multiple levels of an organization is required - Demonstrated ability to lead and influence is required - Must have the ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple time zones - BA/BS in business, communications, marketing or related discipline is required. MBA or Master's degree preferred.
