Job Description QUALIFICATIONS:
* Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
* Member in good standing with the State Bar.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Member of legal team that provides GE wide counsel on a variety of substantive legal issues.
* Provide business leaders with legal advice that supports the business' objectives.

DESIRED:
* Minimum five years legal practice with at least three years experience in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing complex trans-border commercial transactions.

GENERAL:
* Salary is negotiable.

* Member of legal team that counsels the GE Engine Services business of GE - Aviation, the largest most successful services enterprise within GE, and the Services Marketing team of GE Aviation's Marketing Division.
* Commercial counsel for Services worldwide growth transactions, including comprehensive material services agreements, logistics management offerings, materials network alliances, technology licensing, and engine lease transactions.
* Counsel for Services Marketing new service product development / introduction.
* Provide leadership of and legal advice to multi-functional teams for Services joint venture, consortium, and alliance formation and restructuring.
* Serve as intake general counsel for assigned Services platforms and business units.
* Provide ongoing legal advice to Services senior business leadership with respect to general commercial matters including contract performance, warranty claims, commercial disputes, creditors rights, bankruptcy and insolvency, and regulatory matters.
* Provide leadership and legal advice on corporate formalities and separateness issues for assigned Services' legal entities and affiliates.
* Identify, communicate and lead opportunities for functional specialists across GE - Aviation Legal Operation to assist Services with the regulatory, antitrust, IP, trade compliance, and other substantive legal issues encountered as Services achieves its growth targets.
