Works with the inventor, Patent Portfolio Professional (PPP) and Patent Portfolio Manager (PPM) to more particularly identify the invention using sample claims. Prospects/harvests invention disclosures in strategic technology and key business unit program areas, especially on enterprise core technologies and IP (intellectual property) choke points. Reviews the Invention Disclosure upon receipt to eliminate improper technical information. Works with Boeing Contracts and IP attorneys to identify any reportable invention. Supports PPMs on foreign filing country selections and patent portfolio maintenance pruning decisions. Supports PPPs and OC (outside counsel) on timely filing of patent applications and prosecution to develop a quality global portfolio. Supports portfolio mining to leverage IP (intellectual property) values/IP (intellectual property) strategy development as required. Supports, leads and provides subject matter expertise during the annual SIA (invention awards) process. Some moderate travel may be required to access engineering teams where IPC's (intellectual property consultants) are not co-located. Position is at St. Louis in IPM's (intellectual property management) Earth City location. Strong, diverse engineering background is highly desirable.
